These photos are from this morning. The baby is facing up here. The two on the left make sense (look for the nose). The two on the right less so :)

Shouldn't be long now...

We get these great updates every week from BabyCenter.com, and today's was quite exciting... as of today, the baby is officially full term. Bizrat Hashem, we'll get to meet this person soon!

"Did you only register for books?!"

No, actually. Kids Land is the registry with most of the stuff. Babies R' Us we used to register for those goods that Kids Land didn't carry (better bathtub and swing), and while I was at it I registered for lots of books too. The books sound fun!

Registries? Showers?

Some of you have asked if we're registered anywhere or if we're having a shower. Well, the short answer is that for a variety of reasons we don't want to have much baby stuff in our apartment in case, G-d forbid, something should go wrong. I guess that was actually the long answer.

The real short answer is that we are registered at a couple of stores, where we've set things up so that whatever is bought will be delivered after the baby arrives safely or to an alternative address. Also, I believe Ilana might be having something approximating a shower, but that also will be after the baby is born.

Not short enough?

We're registered at Kid's Land, http://www.kidslandusa.com
Just click the Gift Registry link and search for Adam Sinclair as parent (it won't work to search for Ilana Sinclair, for some silly reason).

We're also registered at Babies 'R Us, http://www.babiesrus.com
Here you click the Baby Registry link and search for Ilana Sinclair (Adam doesn't work).

It is quite awkward telling people about your baby registry. A nice message or visit is honestly gift enough. Volunteer to babysit! 8)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the best wishes and support you've given us so far! We love you all!

Just to set expectations...

  1. We're not giving the baby a name until after several days after the birth (G-d willing). The baby's name will be announced at a ceremony, according to Jewish tradition.
  2. We know what we're having, but we're not sharing that information with anyone.
Here is a website that describes many of the traditions we're incorporating.

Well, if you didn't know it already, we're expecting! September 17th! (That's 3 days after my birthday!)
