Update.

Hello. Remember me? I know it's not much of a blog if you post every few months. As fans of adamsinclair.com may know, my websites have a bad tendency of being updated every 1 week, then 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6, etc. It's a cipher ala The Da Vinci Code that you'll one day need to decode to uncover a great SinclairTribe secret. So pay attention, all!

Uh, where to begin? We're in Washington DC this week, for the AIPAC Conference and for a family celebration. We figured 8 months was a good age to get our kid started on political activism, so there Tali was, supporting Israel and hearing Ariel Sharon, Hillary Clinton, etc speak. Today we took Tali to the White House, where perhaps someday she'll reside.

The kid is great. We're all doing great, actually. We're generally happy and healthy and good looking. :)

What does Talia do now, that she didn't do before?

She eats solid food. Actually, everything she eats is more of a puree, but there are all kinds of colors and tastes that she's experiencing. In order, we introduced: rice cereal, acorn squash, avocados, peas, carrots, green beans, bananas, sweet potatoes, apple sauce, and oatmeal. We gave her corn too, but that was an accident and we won't be giving that again until she's a year old.

She crawls. She isn't so competent that she runs off and we have to chase after her, but she no longer is stuck in one place. If she wants something across the room, she'll get to it.

She vocalizes, sometimes exclaiming "Da da da da da da da!" (which means basically everything and isn't necessarily her saying "Dada"). Sometimes she'll just yell as loud as she can, in restaurants or political conferences where she wants her voice heard.

She sits up. She rolls around. She picks things up, on purpose. Pulls things. Whacks things into the ground. Talia is now damn strong. Best of all, when we're at home on our home turf, we put her to sleep around 7:30pm and she wakes up between 6:30am and 8:30am. That's a good thing.

Other notable milestones:
Tali still does not have any teeth.
Tali now has more hair than she used to. It's light brown around the rim of her head and very light at the top.
Tali wears size 3 "cruiser" diapers. :) They're bigger and help her crawl around.
Okay, maybe that's not a milestone.

Well!!! It's now 12:23am in DC on May 26, 2005 and it is now officially Ilana's and my 3rd wedding anniversary!!! Yay!

I should go. Quick updates on Ilana and Adam:

Ilana is the Director of Donor Relations at the Jewish Federation. No, it has nothing to do with organs and other body parts, but rather Ilana helps people who make gifts to the Federation understand where their money is going and how it is helping people. She's working from home, part-time, more hours than she'd prefer, but enjoying her rewarding work.

I am much more involved at work, with the development of shopping centers in Phoenix. It's mostly Project Management, working to get the architects, contractors, and local governments aligned so that we can build attractive centers that will appeal to tenants and improve communities. It's fun.

Also, I just got my Spring semester grades from USC. It was my best report card since 5th grade. Straight A's!!! 4 classes, 4 A's!!! I am very proud of myself.

Okay, I'm going to spend time with Ilana now, as it is our anniversary. Love to you all!
